The Yaesu Vertex/Standard VX-820E series meets the needs of users who require a dynamic communications solution to meet public safety and industry requirements. The radios are extremely rugged, built to MIL STD 810 C/D/E/F and IP55/IP57 protecting them against many conditions such as driving rain, vibration and shock as well as water jets. The VX-820E series can also be submerged into water for up to 1 metre depth for 30 minutes.

Lone Worker
This feature sounds a beep when the radio has been inactive for a given amount of time. If the user doesn’t respond (requires pressing any button on the radio), the VX-820E series transmits an alarm to other radio users to warn of a potential danger.
Security
With remote radio stun/kill/revive, users can prevent use of the radios by an unauthorised operator. The VX-820E series also showcases an encryption feature (optional FVP-35/36/25 required) which provides an additional level of security.
High Performance
With 5w power and 700mW audio output, the VX-820E series benefits from an extended communication range with high powered audio.
