General Model Information
The Yaesu Vertex/Standard VX-160E series boasts a range of rugged, durable portables with unmatched operating ease. The VX-160E series are built to MIL-STD 810 C/D/E to ensure they can be used in a range of harsh enviornments, whilst being lightweight and compact.
Available in a range of style and frequency alternatives.
Standard features include:
- Quality Audio
With 5 watts of power output (which can be selectable to 1 watt), users can benefit from crisp and loud audio. - Auto Range Transpond System
(ARTS) With this function, users can benefit from search and rescue applications, providing 'hand shake' with other ARTS equipped transceivers. - Versatile Scanning
With a high speed scanning capability, the VX-160E series includes 'all channel' scanning as well as Dual Watch and Priority Channel capability.
Other features include: 16 channels, wide/narrow bandwidth (programmable by channel), CTCSS/DCS encode/decode, DTMF ANI, dual 2-tone decode, multi-mode scan, BCLO, BTLO, TOT, TX/RX battery saver circuit, PC programming and radio-to-radio cloning.
