Kenwood TK-2180 Series Compact Portable Radio
General Model Information
The Kenwood TK-2180 series sets a new standard for portable radio performance, showcasing operating ease, reliability and versatility. The TK-2180 series is extremely rugged, built to MIL STD 810 C/D/E/F environmental standards and IP54/55 water/dust protection meaning it can be used in a variety of testing environments.
The TK-2180 series also boasts an LCD display which is backlit to allow use in even poor light conditions. With a full keypad, functions are made even easier.
Features include:
- Enhanced audio
Boasting the Kenwood 'K'larity enhanced audio, voice frequency components are enhances so that the audio output overrides typical noise barriers. - Voice scrambler
With an in-built voice inversion scrambler, users have protection against casual eavesdropping. - VOX
With the use of an appropriate headset (not supplied), users can benefit from hands free operation.
Other features include: Wide band operation, maximum of 512 channels, 25/20/12.5KHz channel spacing, extra large channel capacity, FleetSync, FleetSync II, dual priority, various scanning functions, 5 tone signalling, 26 pin easy option port, real-time clock, Lone Worker, transparent data mode, battery status indicator and Windows PC programming/tuning.
