ICOM IC-V82 VHF 144-148MHz Compact Portable Radio
General Model Information
The ICOM IC-V82 is a high power (7w) portable radio series which provides digital voice and data communication capabilities to radio amateurs. It boasts a durable construction and backlit display making it suitable for use in various locations and light conditions.
Features include:
- Position information exchange
When connected to an external GPS receiver to the data jack, the IC-V82 series can send its own and other stations positions using the following data formats: GGA, GGL, GSA and VTG. - Digital voice
Boasts clear digital modulated audio meaning voice and data can be sent simultaneously. - Power save
Once the radio has been inactive for a given amount of time, it enters power save mode which prolongs the life of the battery in-between charges.
Other features include: BNC type antenna connector, scanning functions, TOT (Time Out Timer), FM narrow mode capable, digital code squelch (CSQL), stand-by beep, pocket beep, automatic reply, break-in communication and EMR (Enhanced Monitor Request).
Supplied with: Desktop charger, AC adapter, battery pack, antenna, belt clip and handbook.
