General Model Information

The Kenwood TK-7162 mobile radio series provide performance, quality and power to provide users with a reliable communications solution in a wide range of environments. The series is built to MIL STD 810 C/D/E/F, meaning it is suitable for tough weather conditions. Available in a range of VHF and UHF frequency alternatives.

Features include:

• Lone Worker
  Provides users with additional security when working alone. If the radio is not used for a preset amount of time, it sounds a sound alert which can be deactivated by a press of a button. If the user does not respond, an alarm is sent to a predetermined person/group.
• LCD
  With a display, users can benefit from additional functionality. It also allows communicating in poor light conditions to be possible.
• FleetSync PTT ID
  Kenwood's FleetSync digital signalling system provides PTT ID digital ANI, which provides instant radio call identification and emergency status to encourage personal safety.

Other features include: 16 channels, enhanced audio, front mounted speakers, 5-tone signalling, scan, QT/DQT, DTMF, voting, voice inversion scrambler, programmable function keys, programmable channel spacing, embedded messages, ignition sense input (with cable option), Microsoft Windows PC programming/tuning, encryption, ANI control capable and operator selectable tone.
