ICOM IC-M71 VHF Portable Submersible Marine Radio
General Model Information
The ICOM IC-M71 VHF portable marine radio is renowned for setting new standards in waterproofing, design and battery technology. It provides users with a slim and stylish communications system, whilst offering superb functions.
The IC-M71 is available with a scrambler option (please select below) which enables users to benefit from a heightened level of security. All conversations transmitted are encoded to ensure and eavesdropping is non-existent. The conversation is then decoded by the intended recipient radio.
Features include:
- Submersible
With a IPX8 classification (ICOMs best ever protection), the radio can be submersed in up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes. - High power
The radio boasts 6w of transmission power- currently the highest available in the market. Conversations can be carried a long way and with a large capacity battery, users can benefit from up to 16 hours of operation. - LCD display
Boasting a wider viewing angle and high intensity display, the IC-M71 can be used to full capacity even in poor light conditions.
Other features include: 600mW AF output, 30% shorter antenna, auto scan, auto power save, battery indicator and 70 programmable channels.
