General Model Information
The Vertex VX-920 Series of intrinsically safe radios comprises 3 different models:-
- VX-921E has 16 channels, no display
- VX-924E has 512 channels, display and semi keypad
- VX-929E has 512 channels, display and full keypad
All models are intrinsically safe and meet the ATEX II 2 G E Ex ib IIC T4 approval for use in hazardous environments.
The radio is IP57 rated against water ingress [submersible to 1 metre/30 mins] and is of course built to meet the stringent MIL 810 STDS. Further features include:_
- VHF 134-174MHz & UHF400-470MHz
- Clear voice & audio pitch control
- Rx/Tx battery save
- Stun/kill/revive
- Audio compander
- Whisper
- Multiple scan options
- 7 colour LED call alert indicator
- User selectable tones
Options include voice inversion and rolling code encryption, DTMF paging and digital voice storage of upto 120 seconds.
Like all Vertex radios the VX-920 Series is equipped with the exclusive Auto-Range Transpond System [ARTS]
