General Model Information
The Kenwood TK-2260EX series are intrinsically safe (ATEX approved: II2G Ex ib IIC T4), providing vital communications in potentially explosive environments. Boasting a range of advanced safety functions to ensure user safety is paramount at all times. The TK-2260EX implements Kenwood's enhanced audio, providing crisp and clear communications with low distortion.
Features include:
- Advanced Motion Detection*
The TK-2260EX series features the ability to detect users in danger through both stationary and motion (panic) mode; alerting other users through the transmission of an alarm. - Voice Inversion Scrambler
With this in-built feature, the TK-2260EX series offers convenient confidentiality through the encryption of audio; eliminating any third party picking up the signal. - Lone Worker
To provide an additional level of user security, the TK-2260EX will sound an alert if the radio is not used for a pre-set period of time, which can be deactivated at the touch of any button. In the absense of response, the radio will sound an alarm to a pre-determined person/group.
Other features include: Man Down, 16 channels, 5-tone signalling, QT/DQT/DTMF, FleetSync PTT ID, Selcall and emergency, enhanced audio, priority scan, programmable function keys, voting, VOX ready, wide/semi wide/narrow per channel, compounded audio per channel, Talk Around, BCL (Busy Channel Lockout), 3 colour LED, scan delete/add function, Kenwood ESN (Electronic Serial Number), adjustable microphone gain (by FPU only) normal/high and Microsoft Windows PC programming/tuning.
