Tait Orca 5000 FMIS Series Portable Radio
General Model Information
The Tait Orca FMIS series is a dependable, rugged and flexible Factory Mutual (intrinsically safe) radio that has been designed for use in Class I, Division I, groups C/D/E/F/G and has a temperature rating of T3C (160 degrees celsius). This provides a great level of safety in hazardous environments. The radio is also Non-Incendive for use in Class I, Division 2, groups A/B/D/D with a temperature rating of T3C (160 degrees celsius).
The radio is designed for users who are on the move constantly and require a communications system which is reliable and suitable for on site and in an office. It is available in a range of styles and frequencies (please see below), as well as a trunked (MPT1327 compliant) option.
Features include:
- Emergency mode
Increase your personal safety by sending out an alarm at the touch of a button to a pre-defined person/group in the event of an incident. - One touch call
With a touch of a button, you can contact a pre-defined person- making communicating more efficient. - Remote stun and revive
If a radio is lost or stolen, it can be stunned and revived- providing additional security to your communications systems.
Other features include: Mil-STD 810 C/D/E/F environmental standards, handset operation, IP54 splash resistance, power saving mode, programmable channel spacing and Lone Worker.
Please note, the Orca 5000 doesn't come with charger, antenna or battery. The compatible accessories for the radio is shown below.
