The ICOM IC-78 HF transceiver delivers reliable and straight forward communications whilst boasting high performance and innovative features. Built in a compact design, the rugged package can be used in a base station or vehicle. • Superior Basic Performance
  With a 4 element system which is employed for the first receive mixer, providing superior receive IMD, especially from in-band, nearby interfering signals. The IC-78 boasts a well designed double conversion system to help minimise image and spurious responses for better signal fidelity, is also built in.
• High Frequency Stability
  With the high stability crystal unit*, the IC-78 boasts up to +0.5 ppm of extremely high stable operation.
• Front Mounted Loud Speaker
  With the speaker facing the operator, the audio sounds can be clearly heard without impediment during operation. There is no longer any necessity to manually increase the volume.
