The Motorola GP680Ex portable radio is sophisticated and ideal for use in hazardous environments. Produced to Motorola’s usual high standards, the radio also benefits from a range of features allowing the user to configure the radio for many applications. There is also an extensive range of accessories which are shown below. These include carry accessories, multiple audio accessories and battery charging solutions. The emergency signalling feature protects vulnerable workers. The signal is initiated by pressing an orange emergency button shown on the top of the radio. This then transmits an emergency signal to a pre-chosen person or group.

An adjustable time-out timer provides more efficient use of channels. This limits the time a user can transmit. Dynamic regrouping allows radio talk groups and preferences to be changed remotely, keeping radios in use in the field.

Option boards are available to expand the radio’s performance, making it an ideal choice for many applications. Option boards include encryption for increased security and voice storage for voicemail. The Motorola GP680 is available as an ATEX approved intrinsically safe portable radio with an output of 2 watts making it one of the most powerful ATEX radios available.

Comes complete with lithium-ion battery and covering frequency bands 136-174MHz or 403-470MHz this is the ideal handheld for the toughest of environments.
