Base Station Interface UnitAWCSL Part No. TC-1 The TC1 is a stand alone control unit placed between either a DRC-1 , 1s, or DS32 communication port and a remote base station radio set, normally fitted adjacent to the base radio set. The TC1 receives and responds to key tone plus FSK supervisory messages (Simoco) or (programmable) Motorola tone control. The keytone is used to place the base station in transmit mode, and the supervisory messages are used to place the base station into and cancel talk through facility, change channel, plus signal site alarms and undertake a virtually continuous line test. The TC1 bridges the "manufacturer divide". Base stations from many manufacturers can now be sold into systems which use Motorola and Simoco signaling systems, and provides a single box solution. The unit is also available in 19 inch 1U format. |
